~*~Who Are You?~*~[/u]
Full Name: William Jonathon Flowers
Age: 22
Birthdate: August 18th, 1987
Birthplace: Maryland
Hometown: Maryland
Picture:
Height & Weight: 6'3", 135 lbs
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Brown
Physical Description: He is very thin, to the point where people think he's a hardcore anorexic, when really he just has a ridiculously fast metabolism (at least that's what he tells people from time to time). His hair and facial structure also suggests a sort of androgyny but at the same time there is a lot of evidence that he's male .
Play By: William Beckett
Style: He is very 60s-70s in that he likes flannel and handkerchiefs, basically hippie wear. But he also likes tight jeans and vintage t-shirts, usually featuring bands from the era he idolizes. He keeps his hair long and down to his shoulders, not in a ponytail but simply framing his face. Not really a believer in tattoos or piercings, he instead wears accessories such as bracelets.
~*~All The Little Details~*~
Personality: The first thing people are struck by when they meet William is his sense of serenity. He has the rare ability to defuse almost any negative situation and people seem to feel comfortable around him for this, as well as his very slow temper. It is really hard to get him angry because he is afraid of himself when that happens, so he tries to avoid it as much as possible, trying instead to mediate and work out a more neutral way to deal with things. He is comfortable in most situations and can even be quite flirtatious if he thinks it will lead to something. Otherwise he doesn't bother, or doesn't think much of it. Finally, he is a very nurturing person, and likes to help other people as much as he can, especially if they seem down or depressed.
He loves to paint and over the years has become very good at it. He also has some other interests but they aren't as well-developed, such as literature and music. Part of him really wants to learn to play guitar though at the same time he doesn't want to make a fool of himself doing so. He can be very self-conscious about learning new skills but is willing to try as long as he trusts the teacher. Also, because he has so much energy is a bit of a nymphomaniac, okay more than a bit.

History:
William was born in a slightly altered environment; a commune of all places. His parents were both hippies who had "been born after their age", and both lived in a commune among many others who shared their beliefs. It was almost a cult, but the participation stopped just before that. It was the perfect communist state; everyone took care of each other without question or expectation of reward. It was just seen as natural and no one ever questioned it.
Growing up in this environment, the young boy experienced a different view of the world than most of his peers. While most of the children he knew outside the commune saw the world as a wary, dangerous place, he couldn't see anything to worry about. Of course this made him look rather naive, but at the same time it gave him a confidence a lot of his peers didn't have. He wasn't afraid to approach people who looked like they were in need, despite their appearances or their personalities, and usually succeeded in cheering them up with his innocent sort of charm.
Still, his parents and the others in the commune (who he also considered parents) decided that he shouldn't go to the school and get tainted by the other children, so they homeschooled him, letting him play and explore for most of the day while teaching him the obligatory maths and sciences in the evenings. Through these experiences, he learned to love art and music and performing for the others in the commune, especially when his younger brother was born and joined them.
The years passed too swiftly it seemed, and soon enough William was in his early teens, going through puberty and the rebellious stage. During this time he lobbied his parents to let him go to "normal" school and eventually won that right, attending middle school like everyone else. Never had he expected all the hate. Besides his somewhat unfortunate last name, he also had his somewhat delicate and feminine appearance, both of which gave bullies plenty of deep and painful targets to hit.
Needless to say, he was soon regretting his decision to attend public school and warned his brother against going. Luckily his brother took it to heart, so William was the only one who had to suffer. Still, through all the bullying he never spoke up, not wanting to spark anger or derision from them. Instead, he took the emotions out in his art, creating beautiful but somehow sad pieces and almost immediately destroying them unless someone was there to save them.
This sort of thing continued to high school, where he was labeled an 'art geek' and dismissed as a stereotype. Though high school was better because there were others like him, and he soon befriended these other people, acting as mediator for their arguments and comforting when they were down. Soon enough he had developed deeper feelings but didn't show them, not sure if they would be accepted or not in the normal world. After awhile he found out that they were accepted, by some people at least. He ended up graduating from there and at the same time finding the love of his life in a man named Ethan Bennett. They were married soon after becoming engaged and Ethan managed to make it big in music, a longtime passion of his. They were at college in NYC by this point, which meant the artistic environment was very rich. Will himself was enrolled as an art student when agents and art teachers began to notice his natural grace and good looks. With a little encouragement he finally decided that he could be a model and help make more money so they could be more comfortable than they already were.
He never turned completely gay for any of the models there, being insanely loyal to Ethan, but he did end up making a name for himself. However, his fame was noticed by people who shouldn't have known and on a normal walk from one of the agencies to his commune he was attacked by a small gang of angry men who beat him into unconsciousness before bystanders intervened to stop the 'gay bashing'. He was sent to the hospital and was in a coma for four days before waking up. At that point it took him awhile to fully come back to himself, and the pain was excruciating because the men had broken most of his ribs and hit him hard enough to leave large, deep bruises on the rest of his body. They had also inflicted a hard enough blow to his head to knock him out for so long. Obviously, his modeling career was over for awhile.
With the help of therapy and some very dedicated well-wishers, he recovered, but something hung onto him that he didn't expect. Having never really done anything addictive, he found that he now had an unnatural want for some of the painkillers he had been on while recuperating. He was smart enough to know that people would not approve of this and so took to hiding what stores he had, mostly of opium-based painkillers and vicodin. It was all too soon that he ran out of the prescription but there are other ways to get drugs, which he soon enough found. After the assault, he left school completely and tried to find jobs with environmental or lobbying agencies but was always too distracted to look long. Eventually, loved ones noticed and he realized this himself, but he discovered that Ethan had developed an unhealthy addiction of his own.
Things came to a head during Ethan's 22nd birthday party, when he disappeared for a bit and then William discovered him attempting suicide. This was obviously very traumatizing for both of them but Will by now knew the way of the hospital and unfortunately was given easier access to what he was addicted to. Still, he took care of his spouse and it was when Ethan was out of physical therapy that they decided to check themselves into CNH, figuring that it was better to be there together and healing with each other as support.

It felt to William like the day had gone on forever. He hadn't really been upset or anything, it was just one of those days that seemed to go on for days in itself. It was hard to explain, but he couldn't believe how long it had taken until it was actually night. Needless to say, he was looking forward to some sleep, and maybe just a little bit of random relaxation time.
Following the schedule he had learned to follow at the commune, he took his time to calm down, laying on his back in the middle of the room and looking at the ceiling, almost meditating but not quite. There were always little slivers of thoughts flitting through his mind that he couldn't seem to get rid of no matter how hard he tried, and despite all the encouragment the people here gave him he had never managed to pull it off.
Still, the attempt made him relax, and so he lay there quite still for quite awhile before getting up, stretching and then laying on the mass of blankets he called his bed, curling up and soon falling asleep, all his thoughts and worries leaving his mind as soon as his eyes had closed.
